Eleven Biotherapeutics has a growing pipeline of differentiated, proprietary, best-in-class biotherapeutics that are designed to have a superior therapeutic effect on clinically validated targets across a number of diseases. We are pursuing a wide range of product opportunities for both proprietary and partnered programs and expect our highly productive product engine to generate new pipeline candidates at an accelerated rate.
- Our lead molecule, EBI-005, is a superior interleukin-1 antagonist poised to enter clinical development in 2012. EBI-005 has been optimized for topical ophthalmic administration for the treatment of ocular diseases including dry eye and severe ocular allergy. The mechanism of action for EBI-005 has been validated in clinical proof-of-concept studies in which IL-1 blockage was shown to be safe and well-tolerated without burning or irritation.
- Other pipeline programs include a first-in-class Interleukin-17 receptor antagonist, EBI-006; an anti-interleukin-6 antibody, EBI-007, with a novel mechanism of action; an anti-myostatin antibody, EBI-013, with a novel approach to selectively modulate myostatin activity; and a number of earlier-stage programs focused on diverse disease areas where biotherapeutics have been clinically validated.
Eleven’s approach allows us to simultaneously build our focused proprietary pipeline around clinically validated targets as well as advancing development programs for partnered product candidates.
